Steampunk Beetle

apologies to anyone looking at this expecting something 'steampunk', it's actually what the little critter is called. Trictenotoma childreni, aka log-boring or steampunk beetle.

scanned in 2 pieces (head and body), aligned in Max, mesh fixed and re-sculpted in zbrush, UVWunwrap and initial diffuse bake in Max, then texture clean up and material bakes in Substance Painter.
